My
Friend
I have a very
good friend. His name is Jack. Friends are very important in our life. I think
one cannot live without friends. The most important thing for being good
friends, to my mind, is to be helpful, reliable and honest.
My friend and I
always do our best to help one another. We discuss all our troubles and try to
find the best decision in any situation. My friend is a very good, kind and
clever boy . We often spend our free time together. It is not very easy now,
because both of us are very busy the summer has gone away and we have a lot of
work to do.
Sometimes my
friend can be very stubborn. If he has decided to do something, nothing can
change it. But we’re always tolerant to our minds and wishes.
Our friendship is very dear to me and I try to
do my best to be a good friend too.

In a field one summer's day a Grasshopper is hopping and singing. An Ant is passing by and taking some corn to the nest.
"Why not come and chat with me," says the Grasshopper, "instead of toiling and moiling in that way?"
"I am helping to lay up food for the winter," says the Ant, "and recommend you to do the same."
"Winter? We have so much time before it" says the Grasshopper; "We have got plenty of food at present." But the Ant goes on its way.
When the winter comes the Grasshopper has no food and finds itself dying of hunger. And the Ant lives in its house and has a lot of food.
Then the Grasshopper knew: It is best to prepare for days of need.
